Meet Allie Hall, a senior at Frontier High School and a first-year member of the Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC). In just one year, Allie has already embraced the opportunity to leave a meaningful mark on White County, bringing passion and leadership to the table.
The Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC) is a program of the Community Foundation of White County, designed to inspire leadership and a spirit of giving among high school students. Comprised of sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all four county school districts, the YPC empowers its members to identify community needs, create and promote grant opportunities, and award funding to impactful projects. Through hands-on experience in philanthropy, the YPC helps students build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and create lasting change in their community.
When asked about her favorite part of YPC, Allie shared, “My favorite thing about YPC is how involved we get to be in the community!”
For this young leader, philanthropy is a powerful exchange—where giving back creates a ripple effect that transforms both the giver and the community. “Philanthropy is important because it allows you to see growth in yourself and in the people around you,” she shared. Focused on reaching those who need support the most, Allie sees every opportunity to help as a chance to build a stronger, more compassionate White County.
What excites her most about this year? Diving into the grant selection process for school-based community projects. As a first-year member and Frontier’s Project Manager, she’s looking forward to the second semester when the team will carefully evaluate grant proposals and make decisions that could spark meaningful change. “I’m excited to give to schools for various community projects,” Allie shared enthusiastically, already anticipating the impact their efforts will create.
Outside of her work with YPC, Allie enjoys spending time with friends and family, and she’s driven by a deep-seated desire to help others. “I’m passionate about giving back and helping others who may not be able to help themselves,” she shared. This passion has also shaped her dreams for the future, where she aspires to pursue a career in healthcare. “I hope to go to college and major in nursing. In the future, I would love to become a doctor!”
As she reflects on her YPC experience, Allie feels immense gratitude. “I am so grateful to be a part of an organization that constantly works to benefit our community,” she said. It’s clear that this senior’s dedication to service and leadership will continue to inspire and uplift.
Through her work with the YPC, Allie is a shining example of how young people can lead the charge in creating a brighter future. With a focus on helping others and a vision for impactful change, she’s not just making a difference today—she’s building a legacy of hope and growth for tomorrow.
To support Allie’s efforts, and the efforts of the rest of the Youth Philanthropy Council, donations to build a Youth Philanthropy Council Endowment are currently being matched 6:1, providing the perfect opportunity to deepen your impact in the community.
