Leslie Grants: Small but Mighty
Inspired by the legacy of Executive Director Emeritus, Leslie Wineland Goss, these grants offer up to $1,000 for nonprofit projects that create meaningful impact. Perfect for one-time needs, start-up projects, or capital improvements, Leslie Grants highlight the power of "small but mighty" investments in the community. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.
Youth Philanthropy Council Grants
Young leaders are shaping the future of philanthropy. The Youth Philanthropy Council (YPC) offers grants of up to $5,000 for projects that make a difference in the lives of White County youth. Applications are due Friday, January 24, 2025, and schools are encouraged to collaborate with the Youth Philanthropy Council to bring innovative ideas to life.
Community Cares Grants
Community Cares Grants are designed impact a wide variety of areas and touching all corners of the community. These grants, offering up to $45,000 per cycle, aim to enhance the quality of life for residents by addressing emerging challenges and opportunities. With two application deadlines—March 7 and June 20—this program ensures nonprofits have the resources to make a lasting difference. Whether it’s addressing critical community issues or fostering innovative solutions, Community Cares Grants are here to uplift and support projects that matter most.
Mental Wellness Grants
Mental health is a priority in White County, and this grant opportunity focuses on reducing stigma, expanding access to mental health resources, and building protective factors for youth. With $50,000 available in 2025, nonprofits can apply for funding by Friday, August 22, to champion mental health initiatives that transform lives.
Women Giving Together Grants
Honoring collective philanthropy, Women Giving Together Grants provide funding for projects that address the hopes and dreams of White County’s women. These grants underscore the power of collaboration to strengthen the community. Applications are due by Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Glen B. and Lorraine D. Garrott Fund Grants
The Glen B. and Lorraine D. Garrott Grant celebrates the enduring legacy of Glen and Lorraine Garrott, beloved Brookston residents dedicated to their community. Established by their daughter Christine Garrott Krok, this fund supports initiatives that enhance the quality of life in Brookston, from arts and libraries to parks and educational programs.
Grants of up to $3,000 are available to nonprofits serving the Brookston area, ensuring Glen and Lorraine’s commitment to their hometown continues to inspire and create lasting impact. Applications are due Tuesday, October 1, 2025.
