Congratulations to CFWC Governing Council member JILL GILFORD, this year's winner of the national Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award! This prestigious space education award is presented to a teacher who "exhibits extraordinary inspiration for students to learn about science and technology in the classroom." Its recipient is jointly selected by the Astronauts Memorial Foundation, NASA, and the Space Foundation. Jill's SCIENCE BUDDIES program at Twin Lakes pairs her high school students with first graders for a year-long STEM mentoring and relationship-building experience. She is now sharing the program with other teachers around the country, building a priceless experience for countless numbers of students. Congratulations, Jill!
