ABOUT US
Community Foundation of White County
WHAT IS
CFWC?
Your community foundation is a philanthropic, nonprofit 501c3 organization that partners with visionary donors who believe that philanthropy has power to positively transform our White County community … forever.
Donors SHARE.
CFWC STEWARDS.
Together, we LEAD AND STRENGTHEN
White County.
People who care about White County SHARE their gifts with us, whether a single dollar to benefit one of our 100+ donor funds, or a larger gift to establish their own permanent endowment. Gifts to any fund may be made at any time in any amount.
CFWC STEWARDS these gifts under prudent investment policies and procedures. As a grateful affiliate of The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette, our assets are pooled with CFGL, greatly increasing our donors’ investment potential. Funds are managed by professional investment managers and carefully monitored by CFGL’s outstanding finance committee.
Together, we LEAD and STRENGTHEN White County with grants, scholarships, and initiatives funded by disbursements from the Foundation’s many endowments.
Community foundations are trustworthy, engaged partners for individuals, businesses, and organizations who believe that thoughtful philanthropy has true power to strengthen the community they call Home.
What a man does for himself dies with him. What a man does for his community lives long after he is gone.

& LOGO
Our logo is a map of White County!
Designed by White County native Diane Fishel-Hall, each lake-blue spike of the starburst leads to one of White County’s wonderful communities - not only to named towns like Brookston, Monon, Wolcott, and Monticello, but also to such communities as Badger Grove, Idaville, and Lee. CFWC serves all of White County.
Our starburst radiates the strength and excitement that is your CFWC!
